Car Test Route #01
- Start by driving west on Hudson Avenue.
- At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Salisbury Road.
- Next roundabout—take the first exit onto Victoria Avenue.
- At the following roundabout, take the second exit to stay on Victoria Avenue.
- Continue to the next roundabout and take the second exit onto Green Road.
- Turn right onto Eric Cooper Drive.
- At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Kings Road.
- Enter the next roundabout and take the first exit onto Wrights Road.
- At the next roundabout, take the first exit to stay on Wrights Road.
- Continue and take the second exit at the next roundabout.
- Again, take the second exit to stay on Wrights Road.
- Keep going and take the first exit at the next roundabout.
- Then take the second exit at the following roundabout.
- At the final roundabout along Wrights Road, take the first exit.
- Turn left onto Windsor Road.
- Then turn left onto Showground Road.
- Turn right onto Victoria Avenue.
- At the roundabout, take the third exit onto Hudson Avenue.
- You’ve arrived back at your destination.
Important Castle Hill Roads
Hudson Avenue
This suburban connector near the Service Centre is mostly residential and is occasionally busy with morning school traffic.
Our Tip: Treat it like a warm-up - watch out for any school buses, parked cars, and pedestrians. It’s an ideal road for practicing keen observation.
Salisbury Road
This local side street feeds into the main roundabout network. While quieter than the major arterials, it still sees commuter flow during peak hours.
Our Tip: Practise your roundabout entry - check for traffic, signal clearly, and ease off the accelerator when merging.
Victoria Avenue
A busy connector with multiple roundabouts and light traffic, linking residential areas to Windsor Road and the town center.
Our Tip: Focus on correct lane choice and proper use of your indicators before roundabouts or turns, helping to build confidence.
Green Road
A two-lane street near TAFE and bus stops, served by several bus routes and close to Hills Showground Metro station.
Our Tip: Try to anticipate buses stopping and re-entering traffic, and be ready for pedestrians near bus stops or the TAFE grounds.
