Route Features
Old Hume Highway
You’ll head down the Old Hume Highway as you begin your test - it’s a well-travelled road with residential, commercial, and even a touch of rural scenery. There are changes of speed limit and intersections, so this is a prime opportunity to demonstrate confident driving.
Our Tip: Keep your speed steady, watch the signage for changing limits, and get ready early for your turn onto Bessemer Street.
Bessemer Street
Running through an industrial area with trucks and warehouses lining the road, you can expect larger vehicles and lots of activity which will require high concentration levels.
Our Tip: Position yourself well, and signal early for your left onto Railway Parade.
Range Road Roundabout
After Railway Parade, you'll arrive at a roundabout where you take the third exit. It’s a modest roundabout which shouldn't cause any issues, but will still require good lane discipline and timing.
Our Tip: Show you’ve got it under control by slowing down as you approach, staying in the correct lane, and giving way to any circulating traffic.
Kangaloon Road (B73)
You’ll encounter a stretch of the B73, which meanders through semi-rural settings and will show off your ability to adapt to different road environments.
Our Tip: Smoothly steer through the curves demonstrating yourcar control, and prepare in advance for the turn at the next junction.
