Key Roads & Features

High Street

Currently undergoing major upgrades including better pedestrian access, café precincts, and improved drainage. High Street is the heart of Penrith CBD.

  • Our Tip: Expect construction work and temporarily changed layouts with narrowed lanes and pop-up pedestrian crossings.

Lethbridge Street Roundabout

This roundabout appears where High Street meets Evan Street and Lethbridge Street. As an entry to suburban connectors, it's a great example of a simple single-lane roundabout to practise at your leisure.

  • Our Tip: Approach at a gentle pace, look right, and only signal once you're ready to exit. Smooth, confident, repeated navigation will help build roundabout confidence.

Parker Street (A9 Route)

Forming part of the A9 urban bypass, connecting Penrith with wider Western Sydney, this six-lane arterial carries heavy through traffic.

  • Our Tip: Stay well-positioned in your lane and use your mirrors frequently. It’s excellent practice for handling busy main roads with higher-speed traffic.

Coreen Avenue

Earmarked for upgrades to improve safety and traffic flow under Penrith City Council’s Local Roads Package, there is the possibiity this road may change layout on test day.

  • Our Tip: Keep practicing this route to be aware of changes to intersection layouts, signage, or lane markings.
