Route Features
Bungendore Road / Yass Road
This road (part of the B52 route) is a major entry and exit point to Queanbeyan, connecting with Canberra it carries both commuter traffic and weekend visitors heading to Bungendore or the coast.
Our Tip: Merge smoothly and at a steady speed, remembering to check your blind spots. Keeping a safe distance and staying calm here is key.
Ellerton Drive Roundabout
Though currently being used as a roundabout, it’s undergoing planning to be replaced with traffic signals for better flow and safety, so keep an eye out for future route changes.
Our Tip: Show your examiner great car control here... approaching with caution, choosing your lane early, yielding to vehicles already circulating, and signalling left just before you exit.
Tennyson Drive Roundabout
On this mid-route roundabout you'll be taking the second exit. This local, residential junction, is quiet but important for demonstrating proper gap judgment and signalling.
Our Tip: Timing and awareness are key with all roundabouts. Slow down in advance, keep to the correct lane... checking right before entering, and signal left before you exit.
Crawford Street Roundabout
You’ll travel from Cooma Street onto Lowe Street towards the end of the route, before navigating a roudabout onto Crawford Street.
Our Tip: Showcase confident decision-making by approaching calmly, giving way to other vehicles already on the roundabout, choosing a suitable gap and exiting with correct signalling.
Our app features all current Queanbeyan routes in use. Preview the maps, then choose your next route to master before test day.
