Route Features
King Street (B65)
You’ll start by turning onto this section of the B65 route heading through Warrawong. It’s part of a major north-south arterial, where you'll find shops, businesses, and traffic signals - all great for showing off your safe driving skills.
Our Tip: Keep in the correct lane, match the speed of the other vehicles, and check your mirrors frequently.
Shellharbour Road
Still marked as the B65, you’ll now face a mix of commuter and local traffic heading toward Port Kembla. It’s a straightforward, multi-lane road that can get a little busy during peak times.
Our Tip: Watch for red-light junctions with cameras at intersections like Five Islands Road.
Northcliffe Drive
You’ll turn left from Port Kembla, giving you a chance to demonstrate that you can safely navigate quieter environments.
Our Tip: Look for vehicles entering or exiting the many side streets, and take the corners smoothly - no sawing at the wheel!
Five Islands Road (B65)
Your test ends with a short drive along Five Islands Road, another part of the B65 serving traffic moving toward the harbour.

Location & Parking: Located at street level, it's easy to access whether you’re driving or arriving on foot. There is on-site parking, including one designated mobility parking bay within 25 metres.
Accessibility: The DKT area is designed for wheelchair users, and the customer service area includes seated counters and easy-access kiosks. The centre offers full wheelchair access and features such as a hearing loop, remote live captioning, and Auslan video interpreting.
Public Transport: If you're travelling by bus, the nearest stop under 250 metres away.
Payment: Cash, EFTPOS, or credit/debit card are accepted.
Quiet Hour: Available for those who prefer a calmer atmosphere, lighting is dimmed, music is turned off, and phone use is kept to a minimum.
Amenities & Safety: A public toilet is within 200 metres of the centre. In the event of an emergency, staff have access to both a first aid kit and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
