Route Features

Sir John Overall Drive

Where your test begins and ends - it’s a busy local road passing Helensvale Plaza and bus stops near the train station. Expect moderate traffic levels from both cars and buses, plus pedestrians.

  • Our Tip: Keep a safe distance from vehicles ahead, and check your mirrors early before turning right onto Lindfield Road.

Lindfield Road to Discovery Drive

You’ll briefly drive Lindfield Road before turning onto Discovery Drive, through a mix of residential and commercial areas.

  • Our Tip: Watch for narrower lanes and parked cars. Stay at a steady speed, position yourself centrally in your lane, and signal early before you turn.

Town Centre Drive / Discovery Drive Roundabout

This busy roundabout connects Discovery Drive to Town Centre Drive. Local learners highlight the importance of changing lanes correctly depending on the exit.

  • Our Tip: Approach at calm speed, yielding to already-circulating traffic, pick your lane early (especially for the second exit), and signal clearly to show smooth roundabout control.

Pacific Pines / Binstead Way Roundabout Sequence

Later in the route, you'll use roundabouts linking Pacific Pines Boulevard and Binstead Way - taking the third exit. This area will require you to demonstrate good lane discipline as roads merge and split.

  • Our Tip: Using your shoulder check rules consistently here will help build trust with your examiner.

“This app has helped us a lot as my son was taking his test in a town that was unknown to us and we didn’t know our way around. Many different routes to choose from to get prepared.”
