Route Features

Civic Parade / Jacaranda Avenue Corner

Your test begins on Civic Parade before turning onto Jacaranda Avenue. Learners often call this the "money tree" intersection due to common errors with lane changes and signalling.

  • Our Tip: Before you turn, check your mirrors and blind spots early, and signal well in advance. This will save you from making unnecessary mistakes right from the start.

Wembley Road / Kingston Road (State Route 50/95)

You’ll travel briefly on Wembley Road before merging onto Kingston Road, which is a major connector featuring intersections and roundabouts.

  • Our Tip: Match your speed with other vehicles and signal clearly when performing a merge. Demonstrate good car controland confidenceduring this faster section of the route.

Bardon Road Roundabout Complex

Part of the route includes navigating roundabouts along Bardon Road via Third Avenue and Australand Drive. These roundabouts will test your ability to give-way, signal, and show good lane discipline.

  • Our Tip: Treat each roundabout individually, approaching at a calm speed, yielding to circulating traffic, then signalling left before you exit.

Railway Parade Transition

Several routes include Railway Parade after Jacaranda Avenue - which runs alongside train tracks and can include a level crossing. This stretch is well-known amongst learner drivers to need constant alertness.

  • Our Tip: This is a great place to demonstrate hazard awareness. Slow when approaching intersections near the train line, checking both directions, and adjust your speed accordingly.
