Route Features

Wises Road Roundabouts

You’ll drive along Wises Road and navigate multiple roundabouts - taking the 2nd exit to stay on Wises and the 1st exit back onto it. You'll need to stay alert to the right lane exits and changing lane markings.

  • Our Tip: Staying consistent through these repetitive turns will demonstrate excellent general driving skills to the examiner.

Sugar Road Roundabout

The route shifts onto Sugar Road via a roundabout where you'll take the second exit. This area is subject to higher traffic flow, especially during peak hours.

  • Our Tip: Smooth coordination of speed, lane choice, and timing impresses examiners - slow well in advance, scan for vehicles, and clearly signal before exiting.

Mooloolaba Road / Buderim Avenue Stretch

Wider lanes with curves and elevation changes will need to be negotiated as you drive along Mooloolaba Road, which then transitions into Buderim Avenue. It’s bicycle-friendly and often congested with local traffic near the shops.

  • Our Tip: Keep your speed steady, your steering smooth, and watch for cyclists.

Maroochydore Road / Sunshine Motorway Connection

Although your route doesn’t include the highway itself, Maroochydore Road is closely linked to local traffic patterns and future intersection upgrades, and will feature in many routes.

  • Our Tip: Demonstrating confident decision-making around busy connecting roads is a real positive attribute to show your examiner.
