Route Features
Grand Boulevard
The backbone of Joondalup’s CBD, it’s a major multi-lane road lined with shops, buses, the Joondalup Health Campus, and pedestrian traffic around areas like Boas and Shenton.
Our Tip: Maintain steady progress whilst being alert for buses and cyclists - this section will test your ability to drive with confidence.
Shenton Avenue Roundabouts
After exiting Grand Boulevard onto Shenton Avenue, you'll encounter one or two roundabouts before reaching Connolly Drive.
Our Tip: Show excellent roundabout technique by approaching each roundabout slowly, giving way to the right, choosing the correct lane for your exit, and signalling left before leaving.
Connolly Drive Roundabout
Sending you onto Connolly Drive from Moore Drive at a roundabout, it’s a busy route connecting Currambine and the northern suburbs, with multiple roundabouts and speed limits.
Our Tip: Smooth merging and exiting here will demonstrate strong situational awareness to your examiner.
Christchurch Terrace Roundabout
Towards the end, you'll enter a small roundabout as you turn from La Grange Loop onto Christchurch Terrace, joining Moore Drive again. While quieter, it still requires good positioning and signalling.
Our Tip: Give way to traffic already circulating, stay centered in your lane at all times, and signal early before exiting for a confident route finish.
There’s no better way to prepare for your test than driving all official Joondalup routes. You can find them all in our app.
